Job Duties
Under limited supervision and utilizing independent judgment, convert moderately complex software program designs into logical instructions for the computer to follow; analyze business requirements/user problems to determine the feasibility of applications or designs, formulate and define the scope and objectives through fact-finding to develop/modify moderately complex software programming applications or information systems; perform system study, design, development, testing, and implementation of IT solutions in application testing software; formulate and design software systems, including the preparation of functional specifications and design of software programs; build detailed design specifications and programs for applications; design data conversion software programs; coordinate with supervisor to develop and direct software systems testing procedures, programming, and documentation, including testing units and software systems; perform coding, testing, and application tuning; and provide end-user training and knowledge transfer; and utilize the following tools: Windows, UNIX, Linux, SQL Server, Oracle, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Reports, Smartview, Excel Add-in, Apache, Weblogic, PeopleSoft, SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, UML, Java, C/C++, HTML, Perl, and related tools. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree); Experience: Six (6) months in the occupation above, or as a Programmer Analyst, Software Engineer, or in a related occupation; Other Requirements: Experience must include work with Oracle, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Reports, Smartview, and Excel Add-in; job may require relocation within the U.S.
